Building Knowledge, Empowering Futures
Creating Pathways to Financial Confidence and Academic Success
At the OnPath Foundation, we believe that education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking cycles of poverty, building stronger families, and creating long-term community stability. Our education-focused initiatives are designed to meet learners where they are—whether they’re in the classroom, preparing for college, or learning how to manage money for the first time. These programs provide real-world tools that empower young people and their families to thrive financially and academically.
Stukent Partnership
In partnership with Stukent, a national leader in experiential learning platforms, we bring innovative financial literacy education directly into Louisiana high school classrooms. This cutting-edge program uses interactive simulations and modern curriculum to teach students about budgeting, credit scores, interest rates, insurance, investing, and more. By engaging with real-life scenarios and decision-making exercises, students gain practical knowledge they can carry into adulthood. The Stukent program helps bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application—setting students up for financial independence and long-term success.
Financial Counseling Sessions in Schools
Financial literacy goes beyond textbooks—and that’s why the OnPath Foundation delivers in-person and virtual financial counseling sessions directly in schools. Our team of certified counselors leads tailored group workshops and individual sessions, helping students understand their money mindset, make smart choices about spending and saving, and begin thinking about long-term financial goals. These sessions focus on everything from understanding paychecks and taxes to student loans, credit management, and first-time banking. By reaching students early, we help them build a strong financial foundation that will serve them for life.
High School Scholarship Program
Every year, the OnPath Foundation awards college scholarships to deserving high school seniors from across Louisiana. These scholarships recognize not only academic achievement but also leadership, resilience, and a commitment to making a difference in their communities. For many students, our support helps to remove financial barriers that may otherwise stand in the way of higher education. The program reflects our belief that every student—regardless of background or income—deserves the opportunity to pursue their educational goals and build a better future.
Pack the Pirogue
Pack the Pirogue is the OnPath Foundation’s annual back-to-school supply drive, and it’s one of our most beloved community traditions. Named for the classic Louisiana boat, this initiative mobilizes OnPath Credit Union employees, members, and partners to “pack the pirogue” with essential school supplies—from backpacks and binders to pencils, calculators, and more. These supplies are distributed to local students in need, ensuring they start the school year confident and prepared. For families struggling to make ends meet, Pack the Pirogue provides not just materials, but hope and support during a critical time of year.

The OnPath Difference
